What makes bespoke pieces so special?

All bespoke pieces are custom made to any size, metal and stone requirements.

Working directly with the jeweller enables you to create an individual piece taking into consideration your design and budget requirements.

You can collaborate with the jeweller throughout the creative process and share ideas that will give your item that special touch. Incorporating distinctive features into the design customises each piece to represent its owner or occasion makes it a truly unique item.

The end result is a piece that you can wear with pride knowing that there is no match.

How The Process Works

1

Initial consultation

  • Discuss your requirements, ideas and budget
  • Preliminary sketching of your ideas
  • Assess used jewellery pieces to be re-modelled or repaired (if needed)
  • Record sizing requirements
  • Explore material options
  • Explore possible directions for the jewellery design
  • Advise on materials and processes that are realistic to your budget
  • Basic knowledge of the quality of materials to be used

2

Quotation

  • I send you an estimate with a sketch outlining the refined idea for your jewellery piece
  • Refine estimate (if needed) to suit your requirements
  • Estimate is approved and manufacturing begins

3

Manufacturing

  • The materials are sourced and made ready for production
  • I create your jewellery piece (this is where the magic happens!!)
  • Arrange progress consultation before stones are set (if required)

4

Final consultation

  • Presentation of your jewellery piece
  • Provide relevant documentation or valuation (if requested)
  • Provide diamond grading certificate
  • Advice on how to care for your item

Dealing directly with the jeweller

When trusting the knowledge of sales people and shop assistants, things can sometimes go wrong.

When you consult directly with the jeweller, we can tell you what is and isn't achievable in the initial consultation.

Dealing directly with the jeweller can also verify the authenticity of your precious stones, the quality of your metal, how much time things will take and how much they will cost. This all happens in the initial consultation and there’s nobody setting unrealistic expectations for you piece or your budget.

Every new project involves a fresh and individual approach, where we listen to your ideas or what you want your piece to be (and usually break out the sketch-pad during consultations!).

What do the marks mean?

The Gold and Silversmith’s Guild of Australia

“The Guild is the only professional organisation in Australia with a traditional and comprehensive system of marking precious metal items.

Guild Members’ names and marks are permanently recorded, they abide by set standards of material, their work is clearly identified as genuinely made in Australia, and the date of manufacture can be recorded.

The Guild’s principle aim is to promote the Guild Mark as a symbol of excellence.” – gsga.org.au

Anita is a fellow member #167 of the Guild.
